Kallisto SlideMaker a Flash-based client that allows users to integrate server-based assets into a cohesive slide presentation. The data is saved in an XML file for later playback by our Flash, HTML or Java players. It is like having a Powerpoint-lite built in Flash. SlideMaker is a an innovative use of Flash that has broad application in marketing, training and education.

While running the SlideMaker Flash client in a browser, the user can access Flash assets on the server and place them into a slide template. Then the user can move or scale the assets and add text notes.

The user saves the data describing the presentation to the server. The next time the presentation is opened, the Flash client will fetch the data describing the presentation and then fetch the assets as each slide is viewed. The Flash client, presentation data and content assets do not reside on the local machine. Everything is accessed from the server.

There is a simple slide sorter for moving and deleting slides.

With the release of Flash MX, SlideMaker is now able to integrate video, JPEG and MP3 assets into slide presentations in addition to SWF assets.

• Audio as swf, mp3
• Text as text
• URLs as text

In the authoring mode the user can select assets from the server and insert the assets into a slide.

Square handles let the user drag the elements into place.

The user can enter text directly into the text fields provided.

The user can create new slides, edit and sort existing slides and then save the presentation. Each slide can have an associated audio file and a set of URLs.

Built entirely in Flash, SlideMaker lets users assemble server-based assets into a high quality presentation. The presentations are available to anyone with an Internet connection.
