OpenDoc - A Crucial Breakthrough is a CD-ROM-based marketing presentation that describes Apple Computer's OpenDoc technology to commercial software developers.

OpenDoc is a new component software technology from Apple Computer, Inc. Since OpenDoc will play a key role in future releases of the Macintosh operating system, Apple Marketing wanted a handsome presentation that communicates technical concepts in an efficient and upbeat manner. The purpose of the presentation is to motivate software developers to begin incorporating OpenDoc into their products.
Screen Example

Each main point is illustrated with high quality graphics. A cinematic look is acheived by using a voice-over and keeping screen text to a minimum. The presentation consists of over 35 handrawn screens each with custom animation.

Key points are augmented with developer testimonials stored in the QuickTime video format. There are two modes of interaction. In Autoplay mode, each section runs continuously. In Manual Play, the user clicks arrows to set their own pace.

Guided software demonstrations illustrate implementations of OpenDoc. Each demonstration can be accessed from within the overall Presentation or copied from the CD-ROM and repurposed as a stand-alone demo.

I believe this is the best interactive CD Apple's produced to date. Congratulations on a superb job. We'll be featuring this in all of our demos at MacWorld.
